Stanley Keith Peachey, age 68 of Gainesville, GA passed away suddenly Sunday November 21, 2021.
Stan was born in 1953 to John and Margaret of Phoenix, AZ. He graduated from Camelback High School in 1971. He was an outstanding athlete, but particularly excelled at baseball, a talent which earned him a scholarship to Phoenix College. He attained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Puget Sound in 1975 and his Master of Divinity degree from Western Conservative Baptist Seminary in 1980. Stan became an ordained minister and led 2 different churches in Arizona until 1990. Afterward, he worked for several distribution companies, most recently US Food Service, in various roles, including driver and dispatcher until his wife made him retire early in 2019. Stan was loved by everyone who met him, and he greeted all with the same welcoming smile. He could always be found in his “workshop” fixing, building, tinkering, or painting the latest DIY project to improve their home(s). He always put his all into everything he did and had a knack for doing things by-the-book. Maybe a little too by-the-book at times as his family often got frustrated at his excessive perfectionism. More than anything, he enjoyed the company of his family – caring for his mother, teaching life lessons to his sons, playing with his grandson, and traveling with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Margaret Peachey. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Elaine, his brother Paul, and his 2 sons Jonathan and Matthew.
