Stanley Wolfe

January 11, 1945 — August 12, 2014

Stanley “Stan the Man” Wolfe, age 69, of Lilburn, GA passed away August 12, 2014 in the comfort of his home. Born January 11, 1945, in Brooklyn,NY, to David Wolfe and Lillian Krinick Wolfe, his childhood was spent in New York. His high school and college careers were in New York as well. He was married in December,1965, to Roberta Scher Wolfe and lived in Brooklyn for several years. He was divorced in 1989. Thereafter he met his life partner, Janis Grass, in 1991. He spent a majority of his life earning a living as a mortgage broker for Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette in New York, NY. In 1978 he relocated to South Florida to continue his banking career. He then relocated to Lilburn, GA in 1996. He continued a career in financial services; after retirement he became an antiques dealer, opening booths in several shops in the area. Many friends in the antiques community mourn his loss. He loved bowling, Miami Dolphins football, antiques, history, and trivia. He considered his children to be his greatest accomplishment. He is survived by his life partner Janis, of Lilburn, GA; his son Dr. Scott Wolfe and wife Leigh of Natchez, MS; his son Daryl Wolfe and wife Christine of Miramar, FL; his grandchildren Skylar, Mia, and Caitlynn; and his beloved cat Ridley. He is preceded in death by his father David and mother Lillian. The Family would like to thank the many friends that provided help with visitation and support when most needed during Stan’s illness. Donations can be made to the Gwinnett Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
