Sandy Springs

Sushilaben Hasmukhrai Naik, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and guiding light of her family, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, at the age of 84. She lived a beautiful life, one defined by strength, bravery, deep compassion, and a spirited warmth that touched everyone she loved.

Born in Dhamdachha, India on February 20th, 1941, Sushilaben’s life journey was extraordinary. She met her husband, Hasmukhrai, her confidant and the love of her life in Zambia. The two began building their family in Mufulira, Zambia where she raised her children with deep devotion, love, and joy. They later moved to Wichita Falls, Texas before making Atlanta, Georgia her home for the past three decades. Everywhere she lived, she brought with her a sense of grace, purpose, and community.

Sushilaben cared for her family with a fierce, unwavering love. She gave all of herself to ensure her children - Jayesh, Mukesh (Dipali) and Smita (Bimal) - grandchildren - Roshni (Amit), Seema (Adwait), Aakash (Marian), Esha (Jeremy) and Shivani - and great-grandchildren - Avi and Niam - always felt safe, supported, and deeply cherished. Her kitchen was one of her greatest expressions of love, every meal prepared with intention, every plate a gesture of nurturing and abundance. She made sure her family always had full bellies, warm hearts, and a place that felt like home.

Her strength was quiet but immense. Her love was boundless. And her spirit, vibrant, compassionate, and resolute, will remain woven into the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She approached life with generosity, resilience, and an open heart, creating a legacy of care and devotion that will endure for generations.

Sushilaben leaves behind a family who adored her and who will forever carry her memory in the way they love, care, and show up for one another. Though her passing brings deep sorrow, her life remains an everlasting testament to what it means to give selflessly, to love fiercely, and to lead a life filled with purpose.

She will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever.
