Thomas W. Moody, Sr.

Thomas Wallace "Tom" Moody" Sr. age 90 of Stone Mountain, Georgia passed away Monday February 11, 2013 at his sons residence in Ft. Lauderdale Fla. Mr. Moody served in the United States Navy during World War II, serving as a Hard Hat diver. He also was a member of Stone Mountain Masonic Lodge # 449 F. & A.M. , and the Stone Mountain First United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Moody's Fine Jewelry in Decatur, Georgia where he was recognized as one of the oldest and long standing businesses in Dekalb County. Mr. Moody is preceded in death by his wife Mary Wylette Payne Moody, and daughter and son in law Libbie and Cole Sanders. He is survived by son Thomas W. Moody Jr. Lory of Ft. Lauderdale Fla., three Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren also survive. Memorial Services will be held 3 PM Saturday February 23, 2013 , at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel, with Rev. Joy Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 3 PM prior to the service on Saturday.
