Mr. Tomi Lamar Anderton

Tomi Lamar “Suga” Anderton was born to Donniel Dixon and Lamar A Anderton on October 31, 1988. He was the first grandson to Tommie & Beverly Dixon and the second grandson to Mitchell & Beverly Hayes. He attended Susan E Wiley Elementary School in Copiague New York where he played basketball, but his real passion was his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Donatello being his favorite. Suga was known for being a jokester and bringing light in a room with his radiant smile. He loved people and was always willing to help others.

He graduated from Amityville High School and relocated to Virginia with his mom and sister with whom he shared a special bond with. Suga looked up to his favorite Uncle Dwayne, so he always strived to better himself and eventually went onto Job Corp where he met Brittney Richardson, the mother of his first and only child Cherish Tomiah Alisha Anderton “Kiko” as he called her. Everything he did focused around being a provider and the best Father he could be. Tomi had extraordinary work ethics and took pride in the positions he held.

No matter where he worked or went people gravitated towards him, he was magnetic, you couldn’t help but love him. A spades game will never be the same, Life will never be the same, but we must keep living because that’s what you would want. I love you Son. We ALL love you and forever you will be in our hearts.

Tomi is reunited with his Grandmother Beverly Jean Dixon, (Uncle) Glenn Derrick English and Ofrona Reid (Papa Bear).

He is survived by his parents Donniel Dixon, Lamar A Anderton (Rhonda), Tommie Dixon (Marcelina), Mitchell & Beverly Hayes, (Grandparents} Cherish Tomiah Alisha Anderton (Daughter), Jamal Anderton (Brother), Sisters; Idalis Rucker (George), Tia, Megan, Heather and Alexis, Uncles: Dwayne Dixon (Lastar), Rakeen Dorsey, Thomas Joshua, Aunts: TommySena Dixon, Breanna Clinton, Angelina Simmons, Leonard Jackson (Stepfather) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, family and friends.
