Tracy Van Bracewell, a lifelong resident of Clarkston, Ga, went home to be the Lord suddenly on October 26, 2022. He is survived by his two children, his son Drew Bracewell (Clarkston, Ga), and daughter Sarah Estler (Sean) (Hixson, Tn). Grandchildren: Noah Bracewell, and Zula Bracewell (Cumming, Ga). Parents: Ronald and Lorraine Bracewell (Clarkston, Ga). Brothers: Dale Bracewell (Lori) (Alcovy, Ga), Bryan Bracewell (Carolyn) (Conyers, Ga), Dean Bracewell (Gaye) (Saint Simons Island). Nieces: Crystal Bracewell, Katie Bracewell, Morgan Bracewell, and Madison Bracewell. Nephews: Kyle Bracewell, Kevin Bracewell, Conner Bracewell, and many other relatives.
Tracy was born on December 4, 1963, in Atlanta, Ga. He graduated from Shamrock High School in 1982. He was a very determined, competitive, and avid volleyball player in high school, and continued into his adult years with his church volleyball team, along with other active hobbies. Tracy was a faithful man who loved the Lord, his family, church, and community. He grew up attending Clarkston United Methodist and then attended First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville. He was employed by Leggett Motor rebuilding Co. for several years as an inspector. When life brought him back to Clarkston, he became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tucker, where he was involved in a men’s group and many other church activities.
Tracy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 pm, Monday, October 31st at Eternal Hills Memory Garden Cemetery, Snellville, Ga, with Rev. Gerald Varner officiating. The eulogy will be given by Allen Leggett, his best friend. All who love Tracy and his family are welcome.
