Uldis Rava

Uldis Rava of Snellville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2021. He was born in 1935 in Saldus, Latvia, to the late Alberts and Edvina Rava. Uldis was a graduate of Western Michigan University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in plastics. He served in the US Army, stationed in France. Uldis enjoyed golf, volleyball, tennis and basketball.

Uldis is survived by his wife of 44 years, Fran; sisters Maija Liepins (Druvvaldis) of Ohio, Velta Torres (Lauro) of Illinois, and Liene Kalal (Jim) of Michigan; cousins Ivars Lilliensteins (Lillian) of North Carolina and Sallija Smits of Michigan; godson Druvis Liepins of Washington; and many other beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be determined. Care is entrusted to Wages & Sons Funeral Home, Lawrenceville.
