Vester James Childers

February 23, 1924 — October 11, 2010

Vester James Childers, age 86, died October 11, 2010. He wass a resident of Avondale Estates for 47 years and retired ftom Lockheed Martin after 33 years of service. Mr. Childers was Preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Moss Childers and son Ralph Childers. He is survived by children, Ronald & Julie Childers, Carolyn & Todd Smith, Harold. & Kathy Childers, Darlene & Ben Hamley, Elaine & DanIel SullIvan and Joyce ChIlders. Numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral Services will be held Thursday October 14, 2010 at 1:00 pm. at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel with Rev. Buddy Sheppard officiating. Interment at Almond Cemetery in Appalachee, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 pm.
