William David Crochet

William David “Bubba” Crochet, 61, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2015 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Bubba was born in Atlanta, GA, and grew up in Decatur, GA playing lots of sports, particularly baseball, and attending St. Thomas More Church. He then moved to Stone Mountain, GA where he lived for 25 years. Bubba attended Marist High School and graduated from Georgia State University with a B.S. in Chemistry. He worked for H.B. Fuller Company for 28 years as a technical manager. Bubba loved the out-of-doors and enjoyed white water kayaking, hunting, fishing, hiking and golf. Above all, he loved being with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nell and Andes Crochet. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Leigh, his daughter, Allison, and his brothers Jack, Bob, Greg, Don, Ken and their families. His memory will be cherished as he was always good at what he did and was able to share his knowledge with so many. Visitation will start at 1:30 pm, with a service at 2:00 pm., and a reception to follow on Thursday March 5, 2015, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 5801 Hugh Howell Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30087; Telephone: (770) 469-4881.
