William Fred Huddleston, Sr., age 84, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 6, 1927 to the late Teasley and Hettie Huddleston. Following his years of service in the Naval Reserve as a Hospitalman, he attended Mercer University and graduated with a degree in Pharmacology. He owned and ran Cheshire Bridge Pharmacy for many years and later retired from Eckerd Drugs. He was a member of Briarlake Baptist Church where he enjoyed fellowship with his Men's Sunday School Class, especially Friday morning breakfasts at McDonald's. He is survived by his three children; daughter Rebecca Pinkston of Savannah, Georgia; William F. Huddleston, Jr. of Tucker, Georgia; Elizabeth Huddleston of Aiken, South Carolina; his brother, James Huddleston of Athens, Georgia and his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Alex Pinkston, Connor Huddleston and Olivia Huddleston. Grave services will be held on Wednesday, May 30th at 10 a.m. at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 2951 Flowers Road, Suite 211, Atlanta, Georgia 30341.
