William H. Lowe, known affectionately to friends and family as Rusty, Buster, Bill, and Daddy, passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on September 14, 1943, in Webb City, Missouri, to his proud parents, Harry and Frances Lowe.

William, a devoted husband, loving father, and proud Air Force Veteran, leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and a profound connection with nature. He is survived by his cherished wife, Marcia L. Lowe, and their five children: Pat Lowe (Kathy) of Jackson, Georgia; Susan Cowart (Randy) of Mobile, Alabama; Brian R. LeRoux of Dawsonville, Georgia; Tina Rogers (Jay) of Cumming, Georgia; and John LeRoux (Kristin) of Cumming, Georgia; 19 Grandchildren & 11 Great Grandchildren.

William Lowe’s life was marked by his service to his country during the Vietnam conflict as a member of the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he continued to serve in a different capacity, working for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller, where his dedication and professionalism ensured the safety of countless travelers in the skies.

Beyond his professional pursuits, William had a deep and abiding love for the natural world. He found solace and joy in nature walks through the woods, where he could appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the outdoors. His passion for horticulture, photography, computers, and gardening allowed him to connect with the world around him in meaningful ways, leaving a lasting impact on those who shared in his interests.

William’s most enduring love was reserved for his beloved wife, Marcia L. Lowe. Their unwavering bond served as an inspiration to all who knew them, a testament to the enduring power of love and devotion.

In his lifetime, William Lowe faced his share of hardships, including the loss of his parents, Harry and Frances Lowe, the passing of his son, Robert LeRoux, the heartbreaking departure of his grandson, Ethan Cole Cowart, and the loss of his sister, Frances Elaine Lowe. Through it all, he demonstrated incredible resilience, strength, and a spirit of perseverance that will be remembered by those who loved him.

A graveside service to celebrate William’s life will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5755 Mallory Rd, College Park, GA 30349.
