William Jon Post passed away peacefully in his home in Avondale Estates, Georgia on January 23, 2026, at the age of 81. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Bill is survived by his daughter Jonna H. Truan, her husband Luke Truan and his grandson Erik H. Truan. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Louis G. and Katherine B. Post, and his brother, James.
A graduate from East Grand Rapids High School and joined the U.S. Marine Corps (Reserves) where he became a Sharp Shooter and rose to the rank of Sergeant. Bill was a U.S. Marine throughout his entire life. He was very meticulous in everything he pursued. Kendall School of Design and working with his dad at Post Fixtures designing restaurants in Michigan launched a lifelong career in interior design. Bill went from a Senior Interior Designer at Steelcase Inc to becoming a partner at Design Continuum in Atlanta, Georgia for 23 years. With his technical mindset, Bill was instrumental in bringing Computer Aided Design (CAD) to Design Continuum’s design studio. Some of Bill’s projects were Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain Ga., Atlanta Hilton & Towers in Atlanta, Ritz Carlton Lounge & Spa in Greensboro, Ga., St. Andrews in
Scotland, North Hampton Golf Club in Akita, Japan, several Disney hotels in Orlando, and he dealt directly with Mr. Michael Eisner for the Euro Disney project in Paris.
Bill enjoyed skiing with his good friends and fly fishing. We will carry his spirit of warmth, friendship, and love with us always. A Military Honors Funeral Services are to be announced.
