William J. Snyder Jr.

SNYDER, William J. Snyder, died July 30, 2011 at Odyssey Hospice in Decatur, GA. Born June 9, 1926 to William & Mary J. Snyder. He attended school in Arnold, New Kensington and Duquesne University, Served in U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Division from October 1944 to November 1946, was a member of Post 5257 VFW in Stone Mountain, employed by P.P.G. Industries for 37 years retiring in July 1991 and was a member of Corpus Christi Church in Stone Mountain. He is preceded in death by his parents, William & Mary Snyder, brother, Edward Snyder and grandson, Tommy Snyder. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Regina, children, Sandra Randy Taylor, Alexandria, VA; William Joan Snyder, Wauwatosa, WI; Thomas Wanda Snyder, Grayson, GA; Mary Michael Prentice, Colorado Springs, CO; Patrick De Ann Snyder, Grayson, GA; Timothy Snyder, Marietta, GA; seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, Sisters, Anne McDade and Rosemary Snyder, New Kensington, PA; several cousins, three nephews and a niece all of PA. Funeral Services will be held Thursday August 4, 2011 at 11:00 am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Private Burial Services. The family will receive friends Wednesday August 3rd from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel.
