Roy Stainbrook, age 84, of Lilburn, GA passed away on September 28, 2015. He is preceded in death by his son, Ray Eric Stainbrook; father, Carl C. Stainbrook and mother, Stella K. Stainbrook. Roy is survived by his loving wife Dora Stainbrook; sons, Carl and Jon Stainbrook; grandchildren, Justin, Patrick, Nicole, Harrison, and Helen Stainbrook and great grandchild, Eric Stainbrook. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church with Dr. Russell Weekley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Roy Stainbrook to the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 1400 Killian Hill Road SW, Lilburn, GA 30047 or Clifton Sanctuary Ministries, 369 Connecticut Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307. Dear Dora, Although it’s been years ago since we knew each other, we remember our friendship with you and Roy well. We would talk out in the yard. Frank was the one who helped Roy stopped smoking, of which Roy thanked him. And so he lived a good and happy long life, and you were blessed with many offspring. We send our sincere sympathies at the loss of your dear Roy. We ask God to continue to send His blessings upon you and the Stainbrook family in your hour of grief. Roy and I worked for the same company years ago. I remember is humor, smile and he always had a twinkle in his eye! I know he will be missed by his family and everyone that knew him. May God comfort you at this difficult time. Pauline Hines
I am so sorry to hear of Roy’s death. I have many fond memories of Roy while we worked in the same department. His humor made our day. We should all be as easy to work with as Roy. I pray for his family and know there is comfort in knowing Roy is in A better place. God Bless each of you.
