Thank you Eric
Jessica and I are so sorry for your loss. We will be keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.
“Mrs. Daniel” was my mom’s best friend while our families were next-door neighbors for nine years, 1961 – 1970. I remember Mrs. Daniel driving me, my sister, and her kids to school on cold mornings. I also remember her and my mom, Nancy Couch, awaiting our return when we would walk home from school. Mrs. Daniel made funny jokes and was very patient and kind. She never had a harsh word for me, nor any of the other neighborhood kids.
Joanne and Nancy both had husbands that worked crazy long hours. Consequently, they would take turns having coffee in each other’s kitchens after us kids were in bed. Apparently, they had a Christmas Eve tradition of getting together after the “arrangements” for the kids were made and the kids were asleep–but I overheard a couple of times!!
Our own mother is, also, at an “end of life” stage–complete with dementia and heart failure. I decided to tell mom about “Mrs. Daniel’s” passing. She completely understood and genuinely grieved. I love to think of the day when these two old friends can reunite, have coffee, and laugh about whatever they used to laugh about–all in the presence of their Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ. What a day of rejoicing that will be!!
Susan, I love your remembrances!! We must get together once this pandemic is over to continue reminiscing and to celebrate our moms… ❤️❤️❤️
Susan, mom has often recounted many good memories of her times with your family. She often wished she could have kept in closer contact with you all. Thank you for sharing your memories and kind thoughts. I agree when your mother and my mother reunite they will have a joyous time!!
Sincerely,
Belinda

Praying for the Daniel family on the passing of Mrs. Daniel. I was made aware through our Blazers Sunday School class at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. Although I did not know Mrs. Daniel, I pray especially for Ivy Carroll, her granddaughter. Ivy is the daughter in law of one of our Sunday School members, Martha and Ken Carroll. May she rest in peace.
