I am undone at the thought that he is with Jesus, face to face — and that soon he will sing together with Mom & Dad, as they sit and talk and walk and run together, whole and unencumbered, fully loved and fully known.
The truth of the gospel, the glory of the cross, the love of our savior…the veil is so very thin.
Praying for you all…Mattie, David, Suzanne, Merrilee & Brian, and for each of Gerald’s well-loved grandchildren…that you would grieve well, tell all of the stories, laugh deeply, and know that every tear is treasured by your Father in heaven.
With love,
Connie

Connie we love you. Thank you for your prayers.
To all the Brock family.
I want to tell you that I am sorry for your loss.
My husband, Dan Buffington, mentioned Gerald many times to me in our conversations. He had good memories of your whole family.
May God give you peace about his home going knowing you will see him again in heaven.
God bless you all with the comfort that only God can give.
Thank you Pavan. We look forward to an in person hug one day soon when we can.
Gerald impacted many lives in many different ways. His was a life well lived.

Gerald was my St. Andrew Sunday school classmate at Atlanta 1st UMC. He was somewhat reserved in class, but he would always perk up whenever we talked about his grandchildren. I could tell that he and Mattie were truly in love.
Some people serve as quiet inspiration to others without being aware of it. Such can be said of you and Gerald. I wish, pray and hope for you and your family a time of grieving that is just long enough, whatever the length, and a time of joyous remebering that never ends.
Thank you Gerald A. Brock.

Beautiful service to honor such an amazing man, husband, Father, Grandfather and Uncle. I know he was very proud of his family and especially each and every Grandchild. I think Merrilee described Gerald’s life best when she said “We could all do good to walk like Gerald”. Love and prayers from the Penland Family.
