Rosemary Edenfield Peck, age 83, of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021.
She was born on August 27, 1937 in Jacksonville, Florida and resided there until age 27. She then moved to Decatur, Georgia, then to Tucker, Georgia for most of her life and settled in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Rosemary was a teller at Southern Bell in Florida. She absolutely loved working with children, as a Teacher at Livsey Elementary for most of her career. During that time, she received her master’s degree at Georgia State University then began teaching at Dekalb County Schools. “Some people are born with the answers to life”. To love and to be loved is how Rosemary lived her life. She never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anita Darlene Peck. Rosemary is survived by her two daughters, Nannette George & Karen Nichols. Siblings, Norma Shephard (David), Ronnie Edenfield and Donna Epps. “Nana” was a proud grandmother to her grandchildren, Robert Krakeel (Whitney) and Jon Krakeel.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to express a special “thank you” to Mesun Hospice for their compassion and loving care for Rosemary.
Online condolences may be expressed at www.wageandsons.com.
Rosie was a loving, generous, compassionate and caring individual with a beautiful spirit.
I first saw her in 1980. In later years she attended the same church as I although I never noticed her in the very large crowd. Then in 1998 I moved to Lilburn Terrace Apartments where her daughter, Darlene, also lived. Rosie was often caring for her daughter there.
When Darlene passed away I attended her Celebration of Life. Rosie and I talked at length after the service. Again, later, I saw her at a nearby store and we decided to meet for lunch.
That began a 9 and 1/2 year friendship. She ended up living with me as my caregiver.
During that time we were gifted by her friend, Liza, with a luxury vacation to Key West. It was the most memorable trip we took during that time.
Rosie, I love you and miss you and am anxious to see you in yet another realm.
She has always been kind ,generous, and loving. Whenever I was in her presence, she had a calming effect on me. She had a gift of love to all who would be in her loving presence. I will always remember her. She will be in my heart forever. I love you my beautiful friend.
RIP Rosi
