Luther James Walker Jr. was born June 30, 1959, in Monticello, MS to Luther James Walker Sr. and Rosie Marie Walker. He departed this life on September 22, 2021.

Luther married the love of his life, Della Lofton, on May 1, 1982. Unto this union, one (1) daughter was born (Natalie Nicole). Luther was blessed with two (2) grandchildren who were the sunshine of his life
.
Luther graduated from Monticello High School in 1977. He graduated from Prentiss Institute and later attended University of Southern, Mississippi. While at University of Southern, Mississippi, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Luther served his country proudly for 10 (ten) years in the United States Air Force at Mountain Home AFB(Idaho) and Hurlburt Field AFB (Ft. Walton beach, FL). A decorated veteran, he earned the following honors: National Defense Service Medal; AF Outstanding Unit Award; AF Good Conduct Medal; and he also graduated from the Noncommissioned Officer Leadership School in Hurlburt Field, Florida.

After leaving the military in 1992, Luther moved his family to Lawrenceville, Georgia where he worked at Home Depot for over twenty (20) years as an appliance specialist. As we all know, Luther loved to travel, loved fishing, loved sports, and loved spending time with his family. Luther loved his family dearly. His love and devotion to his family will be missed and be forever cherished in our hearts. His spirit will live on with us forever.
Luther Walker is preceded in death by Rosie Maire Walker(mother) and Luther James Walker Sr.(father).

He leaves to mourn his passing Della Walker(wife), Natalie Walker(daughter), Nicholas Walker/Aliyah Williams (grandchildren), five (5) sisters, Margie Peyton (Calvin), Regina Evans; Velenda Walker (Willie) Viola Abram, Schineice Jefferson; two (2) brothers: Richard Walker (Deborah), Harry Evans (Paidra), and a host of nieces and nephews, and friends.
