John David Nickerson, Sr.

April 18, 1983 ~ June 15, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of a father, son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend, in-law and out-law, John David Nickerson, Sr. at 42 years of age.
Our dad was not a perfect man just as most of us in this world are not, however he did his best and was at peace with God. He will be remembered by all as a man who loved his family and friends. His sense of humor was loved by all and he often exhibited the mischievous and goofy sides of his personality. Dad knew no stranger. He served his country with honor through adversity and pain as most would during times of war and strife.
Our dad’s legacy will forever live on through the countless lives he touched and the lessons he taught us. Though we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible life he lived. Our lives are richer for having known him. The incredible memories we have made together brings smiles as we remember many of his antics. These will sustain us as we miss him… We love you, Dad and we will continue to make you proud. Rest in peace and Dad, please don’t drive God nuts.
Join us in celebrating the life and journey of John David Nickerson. Sr.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
John 14:1-3
We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:8
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return to God who gave it.
-Ecclesiastes 12:7
