Stella Florine Wade (Green) passed away Friday, June 7, 2019. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother . Stella was born in Atlanta, Georgia, August 13, 1928. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles M. Green and mother, Lilla Cheshire Green. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Gordon Wade; daughters, Debbie Wade Lee, Annette Wade Lawler and son-in-law, Jesse; son, Scott Wade and daughter-in-law, Denise and her brother, Grady Green. She was blessed with six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Stella was one of nine children, grew up in Decatur, Georgia and graduated from Decatur Girl’s High. She and Gordon married August 21, 1948 and made Decatur, Georgia their home. She was a member of the Avondale First Baptist Church. She and Gordon have spent the last 6 ½ years at The Oaks in Braselton, GA where she was very active and continued to make new friends. The family will receive friends Monday, June 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046 followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM.   7. I am so sorry to hear this. Stella was like a second mother to me growing up. Loved her and Gordon. I didn’t know of her passing until today. All the family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
