Alice Hess, age 83, of Loganville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. Born on February 25, 1942, in Buffalo, New York, Alice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

A longtime member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch, Alice found great comfort and joy in her faith community. She had a kind heart, a quick wit, and a talent for making others feel welcome and cherished.

Alice loved to bake, read, and play cards with family and friends. Her world-famous spaghetti and green beans were cherished family favorites. She was also known for always having candy on hand, whether tucked away in her purse or set out in a dish at home, there was always a sweet treat waiting for visitors. Her warm smile, selflessness, and the love she poured into every dish made everyone feel right at home.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Donald J. Hess. Together they built a life filled with laughter, devotion, and cherished memories.

Alice is survived by her loving children: Lynn (Chris) Pogue, Jacqueline (Alan) Daniel, and James (Laura) Hess. She was the proud grandmother of Christopher (Nicole) Daniel, Kelly (Daniel) Wilkinson, Ashley (Michael) Dunlop, Matthew Pogue, Meagan (Aaron) Barry, and Morgan (Carter) Depping. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Taylor Elizabeth Harrison, Ellie Brooke Wilkinson, Nicholas Jack Daniel, Charlie Alan Wilkinson, Arya Rayne Dunlop, Drennen Donald Dunlop, and Livia Autumn Daniel. She also leaves behind her beloved dog and loyal companion, Daisy Mae.

A funeral Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch, Georgia, with arrangements entrusted to Wages and Sons Funeral Home. Alice will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

Alice was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her warmth, strength, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
