Cindy was born on March 12, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois to Clement and Ina Faye (Jackson) Tatton. Cindy spent her childhood and school-age years in LaGrange, Illinois. She graduated from Lyons Township High School. In her free time, she loved to travel, garden, craft and enjoy music.
Cindy worked in the banking industry for many years and served as a substitute teacher but her passion was for her family and friends.
Cindy’s love transformed the lives of everyone she encountered. She brought a bounty of beauty to everything she did…with her party hosting abilities, warm smile and limitless love for people and animals. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, share herself and evoke that same spirit of love in each person she knew.

Her surviving extended family includes her brother, Terry Tatton (Dottie) of Reddick, IL; sisters, Sharon Gustafson of Kissimmee, FL and Sally (Juhlin) Hoffman (Steve) of Ft. Myers, FL; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Rick and Debie (Forbes) Mikel of Chattanooga, TN, Rick and Jamie (Forbes) Dell of Chattanooga, TN, Dean Forbes of FL; nephews, Ron Frazier, Jr. of St. Joe, MI, Jeremy Dell (Emily) of Chattanooga, TN, Cameron Dell (Casey) of Chattanooga, TN; nieces, Kimmie (Gustafson) Wagner (Marco), Karen Gustafson, Sherry (Frazier) Logan (Jeff) of Kissimmee, FL, Angela (Mikel) Eiseman (Sam) of Nashville, TN and Margaret (Dell) Summersell (Garrison) of Chattanooga, TN; and numerous great nephews, great nieces, cousins and other special “family” members.

Cindy —
It has been a privilege and a pleasure knowing you for more than 50 years! I will always remember your love and your laughter! You are one of a kind and you will be loved and remembered forever.
Please accept our condolences at the loss of Cindy. I came to know Cindy when I joined the Callanwolde Concert Band in 2016 and soon learned she was a strong supporter of music and the band. She was a wonderful and delightful woman with a great smile and a sweet demeanor. As a “fellow band wife,” Carol and Cindy enjoyed many wonderful conversations at band events. We all will dearly miss Cindy.
Mark and family, you will remain in our prayers and thoughts, as all grieve her loss.
Sincerely,
Glenn (and Carol)

She loved Mark so much and made his life complete with her love. If any of you who know Mark – who else could keep up with his misplaced keys or wallet – that takes a special woman.
When Tom & Mike arrived to add to our family she was overjoyed and full of love but when those grandchildren arrived to add to our family, Katelyn, Madison, Nick and Mikey – she was over the top with her love & happiness for them!
She made every holiday, birthday celebration and any other time to celebrate a memorable happy occasion – she even had a very festive Trump inauguration party after the 2016 election – decorations & colored red, white & blue lights everywhere.
Once she got sick – we can all look back to see what she taught us about courage to keep going – no matter how hard and painful it was because she wanted to keep giving of herself and her love to her family as she always did. She left us all with a beautiful gift of herself and the happy memories we all shared with her.

Cindy was such a lovely person and will be missed. We will always remember her beautiful voice at family holiday parties. We enjoyed being with Cindy, Mark, and their family.
Fondly,
Eileen & Jim Cermak
Our thoughts and prayers (and loving hugs) are with her family.
Kind regards,
I met Cindy when she was 5yrs.old. She would come and spend weekends quite a bit with her Uncle Art. We played alot of “school” in Uncle Art’s kitchen. Cindy became my sister I didn’t have. Even though there was 7yr. difference in age, we were best friends. She was one of my bridesmaids when Steve and I got married. We both raised are families and continued our love and friendship for over fifty some years. I have been blessed to have Cindy in my life. She has always been a person you can count on. She was very compassionate and loving to everyone. She touched so many peoples lives.
My friend since 1965. We were in 4th grade. So many memories, so many secrets & the best so many laughs! Always kind, honest and keeping sunny outlook on every situation. A smile that brighten every room. Her bobbing head constantly keeping with the beat of the music especially when that cute, tall, guitar player was strumming along. The memories are embedded onto my heart.
Dear Mark, Tom, and Michael;
I am so sorry for you loss.
