Glen Elmer “Buddy” Ham, Sr., 94, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 5, 1930, in Tichnor, Arkansas, Buddy lived a long and meaningful life defined by dedication to his family, service to his country, and decades of hard work.

Buddy graduated with the Gillett High School Class of 1949, completing many of his courses while proudly serving his country. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1947 and served until 1952, during which time he also attended courses through the UCLA Extension School as part of the Air Force College Extension program. His service years instilled in him discipline, commitment, and an enduring sense of pride in his nation.

Following his military service, Buddy built a career that spanned more than four decades. From 1952 to 1960, he worked with Braniff International Airways, and later, from 1966 until his retirement in 1995, he dedicated nearly 30 years to Unilever/Chesebrough Ponds, where he was dependable, hardworking, and deeply respected.

Outside of his professional life, Buddy enjoyed simple but rich pleasures—watching college football, immersing himself in the charm of vintage movies, and listening to the timeless music of earlier eras. These pastimes reflected his appreciation for tradition and the things that brought him comfort and joy throughout his life.

Family was at the center of everything Buddy did. He is survived by his sons David Ham, Michael Ham, and Glen Ham, Jr.; his daughter Dori Bellina; his grandchildren Davie Ham, Christopher Wood, Courtney Cipar, Hannah Franklin, Jacob Ham, Joshua Ham, Jessica Ham, Michael Ham, Matthew Ham, Marissa Ham, and Amanda Bellina; and his great-grandchildren Hazel Cipar, Thayer Cipar, Eby Cipar, Marek Cipar, Mary Ham, Naveah Wood, and Christian Wood. Each of them carries forward his legacy of strength, love, and perseverance.

Buddy’s 94 years were a testament to resilience, dedication, and the joy of simple living. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose presence was steady, comforting, and deeply cherished.
