Sheila Lillian Davis, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, in Hoschton, Georgia, at the age of 93. Born on August 9, 1931, in London, England, Sheila carried the grace and strength of her heritage with her throughout her life.

Sheila pursued her passion for fashion by earning a Certificate in Fashion Design from Harper College. Her creativity, eye for detail, and elegant sense of style were reflected in everything she did, especially in her love for sewing. In addition to her artistic talents, Sheila was a dedicated tennis enthusiast and an active member of the Daughters of the British Empire in the USA, proudly celebrating her British roots while building lasting connections in her adopted home.

A woman of faith, Sheila was a longtime member of the Methodist Church and instilled those values in her family through her example of kindness, devotion, and strength.

Sheila was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald W. Davis; her mother, Lillian Wiggins; father, Charles Wiggins; and brother, Jack Wiggins. She is survived by her sister, Pamela Smith; her children, Christopher Davis, Leslie Burtch, Craig Davis, Lisa Van Dyke, Corey Davis, and Clark Davis; 16 cherished grandchildren; and 18 adored great-grandchildren.

Her final resting place will be at Barrington United Methodist Church in Barrington Hills, Illinois, a community that held a special place in her heart.

Sheila’s family remembers her for her warmth, resilience, creativity, and unwavering love. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy that will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
