Betty Mae Harrison Hopkins of Atlanta, Georgia passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 28,2019 at the age of 91. She was a long-time resident in the Lakewood Heights community before moving to Hapeville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Zeetee Ragsdale Hopkins and survived by her son, Gary Hopkins; grandson, Michael Hopkins; and daughter-in-law Janice Hopkins. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00AM at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 3-5 PM at Wages and Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway Lawrenceville, GA 30046. 770-277-4550. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your loved one. Sometimes we may say, Betty lived a good long life”, and she certainly did. She lived her life to the fullest and accomplished much good. However, no matter how long one lives, it is NEVER long enough. Be assured of the keeping of this wonderful promise from God: “The righteous will possess the earth and live FOREVER on it.” “There IS going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 25:15) Imagine awakening to a righteous new world where death has been eliminated. Please take comfort in these beautiful promises because they will come true.
