Billie P. Kavadas, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16th 2018 at home. She was born May 9th, 1940 in Perry, Iowa. She was a great mom, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, God­ mother, and friend. Billie spent the majority of her career in the travel industry, including owning her own travel agency. She was a proud member of the Daughters of Penelope. She loved spending time with family, socializing with friends, going to church, shopping and traveling the world! She was full of life and lived life to the fullest. She will be extremely missed by all. Billie was preceded by her parents, Theodore and Eva Pappas. She is survived by her brother, George Pappas, her sons, Alexi Kavadas (Vesta Joiner), Teddy Kavadas (Debbie Kavadas), her daughter, Stacie Hawkins (Jon Hawkins), her grandchildren, Jimmy Hawkins, Athena Hawkins, Aleksia Kavadas, and Nic Joiner, her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Hannah and Ryan, her God-children, Lakie Konidaris, Yianna Manolakis and Maria Konidaris. May her memory be eternal. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 2500 Clairmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30329. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville. The visitation will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA. 770-277-4550. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 2500 Clairmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30329, in memory of Billie.
