Robert Patrick Black of Sugar Hill, GA, passed away at the age of 82 on June 21, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents Bianca and Alice Black. He is survived by his wife, Ellen D. Black.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville, 395 W Crogan St, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM.

So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Bob helped me along in so many ways at Chattahoochee Wood Turner’s. He was an inspiration. His faith andcourage were awesome.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I always loved seeing him in the shop and his knowledge of woodworking was incredible. He definitely had a gift. I know he will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. May God’s Love & Peace surround each of you and bring you comfort at this time.

We share the grief of Bob’s family and other friends in his passing; but, we are encouraged by his statement a short time ago of looking forward to the Promised Land. A fine man, he has been a good friend for nearly 65 years and I asked him to put in a good word for me when my time comes. We seriously considered devoting a couple of days to making it to the memorial service but decided that our prayers will be heard where they count just as well from here, the church will be getting our memorial offering, and our hope to be otherwise helpful to Ellen and “the boys” was not realistic. God bless you Ellen, Rob, and Pat!!! RIP, Bob Black — all honor to his name!!!
