My condolences to Amy’s family. I regularly ran with her several years ago, but hadn’t seen her in a long time. I remember ours runs fondly. May her spirit and her family be at peace.
Amy was a vital part of our family’s life from the time our son was born until he was growing up in high school. She was his first babysitter / care giver outside of us his parents, and we loved her dearly. No words adequate enough to express how much she meant to our family. She will be remembered for the love and fun she provided to him every day.
I remember Amy loving her one and only nephew Seth with such a big love. Not sure who loved him the most, her or Jo. she was a fun person to be around and had such a sweet spirit.
May god be with you….
Amy and I shared lots of good times training for and building a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd classroom at St. Bart’s in Atlanta after we meet there 20 years ago. From scrubbing and waxing the floors to painting the walls and collecting materials, together we created an inviting space for the care of 3-5 year-olds, with whom she had a wonderful connection. She gardened with me some during and after that chapter and gifted me with some wonderful photos of my garden she sometimes helped me with. I’m grateful for her friendship–and to have kept those photos. Before I left Atlanta six years ago, she expressed deep gratitude for the ongoing support of her brother and his family. May her kind, bright spirit rest in peace.
