Angela Davern-Nelson, age 55, of Lawrenceville, GA formerly of Buffalo, NY, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Matthew R. Nelson; daughters, McKenzie and Hailey; parents, Maureen and Jerry Davern; brother, Tony and wife Dawn Davern and their son Connor. Angela had a 30 year career as a Speech Language Pathologist, specializing in pediatrics at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She enjoyed fitness, cooking and spending time with family and friends. A celebration of Angela’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1st at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.   1. Angie was such a wonderful role model and beacon of strength. I enjoyed working with her for many years at CHOA. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

  7. Angie was a kind, sweet lady… She loved her family and shared many wonderful memories with them. I only met her a couple of times when she visited her family in Kentucky. The last time was when they celebrate her dad’s 80th birthday. She and I talked about how much she loved yoga and exercise. We laughed about healthy lifeatyles and life, in general. She seemed to be at peace with what all was going on in her life and was happy to be with her family that week… Steve and I send our love and hugs to your family. Prayers…

  27. Sorry for your lost it’s always hard when a loved one is gone but John 5:25 helps us to appreciate that the dead will live again so this brings us comfort knowing that we will see them my thoughts and prayers are with your family

  28. I am so sorry to see this. I was a childhood friend of Angie’s and the last time I saw her was at her parents home in New York over thirty years ago.
    I had so hoped to see her again one day. I have such fond memories of she and her family. My heartfelt condolences to your family.
