Angela Davern-Nelson, age 55, of Lawrenceville, GA formerly of Buffalo, NY, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Matthew R. Nelson; daughters, McKenzie and Hailey; parents, Maureen and Jerry Davern; brother, Tony and wife Dawn Davern and their son Connor. Angela had a 30 year career as a Speech Language Pathologist, specializing in pediatrics at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She enjoyed fitness, cooking and spending time with family and friends. A celebration of Angela’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1st at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.   1. Angie was such a wonderful role model and beacon of strength. I enjoyed working with her for many years at CHOA. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

  7. Angie was a kind, sweet lady… She loved her family and shared many wonderful memories with them. I only met her a couple of times when she visited her family in Kentucky. The last time was when they celebrate her dad’s 80th birthday. She and I talked about how much she loved yoga and exercise. We laughed about healthy lifeatyles and life, in general.   28. I am so sorry to see this. I was a childhood friend of Angie’s and the last time I saw her was at her parents home in New York over thirty years ago.
    I had so hoped to see her again one day. I have such fond memories of she and her family. My heartfelt condolences to your family.
