Annie B. Annis, age 81 of Clarkston, GA, died Monday, January 23, 2012, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Carl R. Annis. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Philip C. and Bonnie Annis of Clarkston; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly D. and Tim Duncan of Louisville, KY; grandsons Michael Weiss-Duncan and wife, Kate, of Pittsburgh, PA; Jordan Duncan of Louisville; and David LaCroix Jr. and wife, Lauren, of Clarkston; granddaughters Erin Garrison and husband, Caleb, of Victoria, Texas; Laura West and husband, David, of Alpharetta, GA; and Jamie Shannon of Decatur, GA; and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Barron and husband Charles of Gainesville, GA, Mildred Wilkerson of Gainesville, GA, and Nellie Bagby of Lawrenceville, GA. She worked as a medical secretary at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta for 28 years and then at Emory University Hospital for another eight years until she retired. She was a member of Clarkston Baptist Church, where she loved serving meals to students in the English as a Second Language program. She loved to garden, sew, quilt and cook. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 27, at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel with Rev. Allen Hill officiating, followed by Interment at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Wages & Sons, Stone Mountain Chapel, 770-469-9811.
