  1. Tribute to Audrey from Glennie Millard

My name is Glennie Millard. I met Audrey Hinds, Lorna Bell Willaims, Cora Noel Prince, and Irmalinda Bernard in the USAR between 1979 – 1982. We became and remain friends for over 40 years. Audrey was our go to person, our leader, our sister, and problem solver. Over the years, all 4 moved to Georgia but we kept in touch by phone and by visits. She will be missed. I hope and believe that she will meet up with Cora and Linda in the great beyond.

  2. I met Audrey Hinds at a homeowners’ association meeting of The Southland, many years ago. She spoke with concern and conviction, and I wanted to know her. We exchanged contact information and later served on the board together.

The Southland owners elected her to the board again in 2024. Even with her health challenges, she worked hard for them until her death, fueled by her desire to “do the right thing by the community.”

The Southland community has lost a great advocate and many, like me, have lost a friend.

  3. CandleImageMy Aunty Audrey was a beautiful soul although we didn’t have a chance to spend a lot of time together because we live in two different continent she remained in contact with us and was always willing and ready to support her family. Our last conversation a few weeks before her passing her last words to me “We are family and that’s what family does” Thank you for being a light in our family.
    Love Prudence and Eliana Hinds

  4. Rest In Peace & Rise In Glory my Sweet Great-cousin. Thank you for all that you have given to your family, friends and this world over the years to make their lives and this world a better and safer place. 4EVER IN OUR HEARTS.

  12. CandleImageMy schoolmate, my nursemate, my Army buddy, my dear, dear, dear friend. We built bridges together in spite of distance. I will miss you. Eternal peace my love. Until then….

  13. I met Auntie Audrey for the first time when she visited my mother and I in Guyana. We connected quickly and had a great chat. She exuded kindness, intelligence, and great humor, and that will be my favorite memory of her.
My condolences go out to her family and friends. I feel privileged to have met her and will keep her memory dear to me. May you live on in the hearts of everyone you touched.

  14. CandleImageI met Audrey during our 30 years in the military, never in the same units. We met every year at her house Glen. Glennie. Irma Linda, Theo, Cora, Glennie’s dtrs playing games and eating. We all went to 369th events together. I’ll always remember the Sgts were amazed see so many officers of color. Glen, Audrey and I went for our NP at the same time. I remember when Audrey met Derrick and they were so in love with each other. Derrick, thank you for loving Audrey. Audrey & I would talk on the phone and I said just text me but she wanted to talk when able. My condolences to the family and friends of Audrey. She was loved by many.

  15. My Deepest sympathy to the family. I’ve known Audrey since she was a little girl growing up in Kitty. We then started our nursing careers and graduated together. We’ve remained close friends. My Dear friend I will so miss you. Rest in Peace, we’ll meet again.

  16. CandleImageMy deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Audrey, who I’ve known for quite some time, I’ve worked with her for a while, and she’s a very hard working person, very caring, loving, free handed, and lots more,
She was also like a mother that I never had, My loving friend, I’ll miss you so much, may your soul rest in peace.Amen.

  17. CandleImageI have known my Auntie all my life and my life will never be the same again without her. She was a strong beautiful soul. She always ended every call with “dear heart”. My heart breaks that I will never hear those words again. She was so much more than my aunt. She lived her life on her terms. She supported my decisions in and out of the military. She loved as she lived, fiercely! She was a role model and I am so proud to be her niece.

I LOVE YOU MY DEAR HEART❤️

  18. CandleImageAs a kid I remember the sternness that Aunt Audrey always portrayed. As I got older, I learned to admire that sternness and dedication of service not only to her country but to her family and friends. We will truly miss our conversations and laughter. Our deepest and dearest condolences to the family. God bless! 🙏🏾

  19. CandleImageAunty Audrey, Even though most of my life was spent in Maryland your presence was always with me. I always said “that’s my strict Aunty, she doesn’t play”. My first memory of you is at Granny’s house and you calling for Wayne out of the window and always making sure no one gave me milk to drink or eggs because of my allergies. When my daughter was sick you reached out to me and guided me through the murky waters. Losing my daddy was one of the worst times in my life but I am comforted to know now that he is there waiting for his baby sister my dear aunt. I love you and thank you for being a pillar in my life. May your journey to our Lord be peaceful.

  20. CandleImageTo the family, my condolences. It was so nice hearing such beautiful things about Audrey. I am sorry I didn’t get to know her well. I will miss her and pray she sleeps in peace.

  21. CandleImageCondolences to you, John, Wayne, Derrick and your family. Your Mom, Audrey, was kind and very stern in gratitude, leaving behind memories of love and paving the way for more. Praying that your family is at peace as she rests.

With love, Rodney, Le-Andra, Axxton and family.

  22. Aunty Audrey,
Over a month has gone by but you are never very far from my thoughts. I constantly remember how much of a kind, dedicated and considerate aunty you were to us. You always said this is what family does! I am comforted by the memories I have of you as I continue to live in a world without you and daddy. You were my shoulder to lean on when daddy was sick and in hospital, you gave wise counsel and advice and always remembered to check in and remind me what you think he would have wanted.
I remember your laugh and the smile you had when you made a joke. Words could never express how much I miss you and will continue to miss you.
Love always! Rest in peace and Rise in Glory my beautiful Aunt. 🤍
