Rowden, Barry Joe April 10, 1956 – December 28, 2013  Barry Joe Rowden, age 57, passed away on December 28, 2013 after a long battle with COPD.  He was surrounded by many friends and family, and his passing was very peaceful.  Barry was born in Duluth, GA and lived in Norcross, GA.  Barry was a hairdresser for over 30 years and enjoyed a very loyal following.  He is survived by his life partner of 21 years, David Strawn; his siblings, Brenda Dodson, Janis Parker and James Avery Rowden; his nieces and nephews, Dawn Diprima, Ami Ashworth, Ashly Middlebrooks, Melba Jane Armistead; great nieces and nephews,  Hope Diprima, Evan Diprima, Abigrace Diprima, Alex Kibe, Emile Kibe, Kallie Middlebrooks, Parker Middlebrooks, and Grant, Madeline and Austin.  A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Rev. Hoyt Huff officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations, in memory of Barry, may be made to Drepung Loseling Monastery, c/o Monk’s Care Fund, 1781 Dresden Dr., Atlanta, GA  30319, or online donations may be made by visiting their website:  www.drepung.org/changing/changingmenu/help.htm.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 am at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, 770-277-4550.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.wagesandsons.com.

And not only that but he is now with my Nannie and Granddaddy which I know was so happy to see him! I love you Uncle Barry and we will all see you again……
