Beatrice “Bea” Affleck, age 79, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 5, 2018. She was born on August 14, 1938 in Akron, Ohio to Joseph Arthur Griffith and Gladys Spencer. In the following years she was joined by sisters Roberta and Constance and brother Joseph junior, known as “Chip”.
Bea, an ardent lifelong Republican spent many happy years supporting local, state and national candidates in Ohio and Georgia. She especially enjoyed decades long membership in Republican women’s groups and was a proud member of the National DAR.
Bea’s work experience included 20 plus years with Amoco Oil Company in Ohio and concluded as an unsecured debt collector for Citicorp and Prudential Financial Services in Georgia.
Bea and her husband, Thomas, moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia in 1979. The childless couple spent 42 years enjoying each other’s company, visiting family and friends, taking summer vacations and loving life.
Bea was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Gladys and brother “Chip”. She is survived her husband, Tom Affleck; sisters, Roberta “Bobbie” of Jeromesville, Ohio and Constance “Connie” of Akron, Ohio.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 9th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.

My family and I enjoy remembering the beach visits on Cape Cod every summer. Bea was a happy person to be around. She was kind and generous and she will be missed.
