Rev. Berry Thad Chadwick, Sr., 86, went to be with The LORD on Sunday, June 18th. He was born in Cumming, Georgia to the Late Amos Walter Chadwick and Wynell Mary Terry Chadwick. He is preceded in death by two siblings, Wanda Chadwick Smith and Lamar Terry Chadwick.

Thad was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Irene Hay Chadwick. Thad and Irene were married for 66 years. He is survived by his 5 children, Sandra(Bill) Dodd, Pendergrass, Ga., Carol(Rodney) Baker, Loganville, Ga., Teresa Trent, Conyers, Ga., Sharon Carnes, Covington, Ga. And Berry(Charmayne) Chadwick, Jr., Conyers, Ga., 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren.

B.T. was an ordained Baptist minister. He had a strong faith and love for his LORD Jesus Christ. Thad was a professional Truck Driver, retired from Signal Delivery Service (Sears Roebuck). He loved to work on cars, working in a garden, he loved to work. He is known for repairing anything, especially using spare parts. He was an honest, kind and generous man. He loved to help people in need no matter if it was day or night, stranger or friend. If you knew him you knew he loved to talk and never met a stranger. Berry Thad (Poppy) will be truly missed!

The family would like to express our sincere gratitude for the loving comfort and care extended to Berry Thad, our mom and our family. Our love and appreciation to Dianne, Colette, and Louise at GRACE OF FOUNTAIN personal care and to Nadine at Care One and to all at N.W. Ga. Bristol Hospice Care.

I will forever cherish those times and will be eternally grateful for the lessons he taught us all. He was truly a man who loved all and was loved by all. I can only imagine his shouting as he walked through those gates into paradise.
