  24. Dear Black family,

    Until recently, Jodie and I worked together as part of the same team, for several years. We were such a caring and tight-knit group – it was truly the best team I’ve ever had the joy to be part of.

    At this sad time, perhaps some comfort may come in knowing that Mr. Black touched those of us who worked together, even though we never met. Jodie always brought his wonderful banana cream pie for holiday gatherings – it became the requisite dessert and the central topic of conversation. Felt as though he was there, in a way.

    Banana cream pie and chessmen cookies will always make me think fondly on our friendship. What a cherished memory!

    Peace be with you,

    Heather

  38. Dorothy;
    My sympathies to you and your children. I remember Eddie with fondness; the great times we had at the Water Commission. I remember being in your home at Mona Commons, and when you migrated to the US, I acquired much of your furniture which I still have in my home. He threw in much more than I paid for. His generosity to his friends was boundless as was his love for his family. God be with you. I know my friend will rest well.

  39. My friend for over 40 years has departed this world; he will be missed by the wonderful family he helped to mould. To Dorothy and the children..I share your grief and mourn your loss. Eddie,I can remember the first day we met; the pleasant and soft spoken young man at the Water Commission. Sleep well my friend and may all the good you did shower on your family; It will be a beautiful storm.
