Bounpasong (Lo) Vongsamphanh, age 46, passed away on August 10, 2021. He was surrounded
by his loving wife and four brothers.
Bounpasong was born in Vientiane, Laos on April 5, 1975. He lived in Laos until 1980; he then
immigrated with his family to the U.S. in 1981 where he resided in Lithonia, GA. Bounpasong
was the fourth child of seven children. He is survived by his parents, Bounlay and Lanh
Vongsamphanh of Loganville, GA, oldest sister, Anchalee Kuranam of Ubon Ratchathani,
Thailand, older brother, Souksavanh Vongsamphanh of Lithonia, GA, older sister, Phouthsavanh
Mekdara of Roebuck, SC, and three younger brothers: Bounpaseuth of Loganville, GA,
Bounsysavanh of McDonough, GA, and Vannakone Vongsamphanh of Loganville, GA, seven
nieces and sixteen nephews. He was married to Phetsaphone Vongsamphanh for nineteen years.
They have two sons, Aaron (age 13) and Isaiah (age 9).
Bounpasong worked at Air Tran/Southwest Airlines for eighteen years. He studied Aircraft
Maintenance Technology at Atlanta Technical College.
Bounpasong enjoyed photography and loved taking pictures of family, friends, food, and nature.
He loved traveling where he took his family to enjoy different sights. His favorite pastime was
singing karaoke to the 80’s hits. He loved trading stocks and shared his knowledge with family
and friends.
Visitation will be at Wages and Sons, Lawrenceville, on Sunday, August 15th at 11 AM. Funeral
services will follow at 1 PM.
