Bradley "Brad" Duane Huffman, age 63, of Dacula, Georgia passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014. He was born and raised in Danville, IL to Robert R. Huffman and Phyllis Weingand Huffman. Brad graduated from Danville High School in 1968. He was in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1968-1972 serving in Vietnam. Brad graduated from Illinois State University in 1976 with a BS degree. He work in the construction industry from 1976 until 2008 which included owning his own business, Southern Indiana Garage Builders. In 2009 he started Bradz Bladz and worked motorcycle rallies all over the country where he was known as "The Blade Man."
Brad enjoyed golf. He loved his family and was dedicated to spending time with them and spent the last years of his life doing what he loved.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. & Phyllis Weingand Huffman, and Phyllis's second husband, Joseph Blackwell. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara "Barb" Huffman; sons, Kyle R. Huffman of Des Moines, Iowa and Andrew C. Huffman & wife Elisabeth of Vienna, Austria; sisters, Chris Huffman and Jodi Coffman of Danville IL; brother-in-law, Frank Morin & wife, Connie, of Louisville, KY; nephews, Zac Carlson and Logan Coffman; nieces, Ashley & Andy Wireman, Chad & Melissa Morin, Jaieme & Amber Morin; several additional relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Dr. Lamar Holley officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, 770-277-4550. I wish I could be there today. Brad was like an Uncle to me. There is no one who can tell a story like Brad Huffman! Oh what I would give to hear him tell the Cabinet Salesman story just one more time. When I stayed with ya’ll I had many long talks and laughs with him. I can’t start to begin to tell you all that the very short time I knew Brad. from his beging his biz selling knifes and traveling the country…..living his dream’s…Brad was just one of those guy’s you could spend time talking and laughin with and I myself always highlighted our travels when I would see him on the same lot…..it is an absolute honor to have been able to meet and spend time with……..He will be missed but his voice will always be in my soul….and my heart……Thank you Brad for being you…..Barb I just can’t tell you how much we hurt for you ….we love you like a mom and you know !!!!!!…..I am 1 phone call away from anything I can do for you sweetie…..love you and will talk with you soon ..oxoxoxox…….prayers are always heard honey
