Carlene Brandon age 82 of Stone Mtn. passed away on Wednesday August 3, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Thomas Brandon, brothers Charles, Gordon and Carl Grady Walden, and sister Sara Hamby. Carlene owned and operated Carlene's Beauty Shop in Stone Mtn. for over 45 years. She was also a graduate of Stone Mtn. High School. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and sister in law Beverly Jean Walden of Conyers. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Funeral services will be held Friday August 5, 2011 at 1 pm at the Wages & Sons Stone Mtn. Chapel with Claude Bennett officiating, burial will follow in the Stone Mt. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 am until the funeral hour on Friday. Wages & Sons Funeral Home 1040 Main Street Stone Mtn. Georgia 770-469-9811.

I have fond memories of Carlene. She fixed my mother’s hair and mine and I remember her and Joyce well. Sweet lady.
Just found out about Carlene, wish I had known, Carlene & Tom were very special to me , they were like a second set of parents after my parents died, I loved them both so very much, we had a lot of good times together
