Bruce Martin Luntsford, 85, of Grayson, GA, passed away on August 21, 2024 after a long and fulfilling life.

After being honorably dis-charged, Bruce started his long, successful career in the insurance industry first in Spokane, then Seattle, and finally settled down roots in Atlanta in 1974
In 2005, Bruce retired to spend his time with his wife, Dawn, and travel across country in their motor home, as well as spending time with his kids and grandkids. In recent years, Bruce enjoyed his family, reading books, playing on the computer, sitting outdoors, and watching football, which he loved. Bruce loved his family deeply and he will be missed dearly.
Bruce was pre-deceased in death by his parents and grandson, Jason Paul Blouin. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dawn, and 4 children: Rusan (Sudti) Green, Wanda (Bryan) Smith, Kara (Bob) Portnell, Michael Luntsford, 4 grandchildren, and 6 greatgrandchildren.
A special thank you to the staff and health care team at Dogwood Forest of Grayson for the wonderful care and love they showed to Bruce.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2pm, at Gwinnett Memorial Park, 925 US Highway 29, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046 and officiated by our dear long-time friend and Pastor, Tommy Green.
The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, a cause Bruce felt strongly about to help injured military service members and their families.
PSALM 23:1-6 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

He will be missed.
There are not enough words to share how much I will miss my Daddy. My heart is broken into a million pieces. But, I know without a shadow of a doubt, that I will see my Daddy again someday – for all eternity. I am glad my Daddy is whole again, not in pain and with his mother and father. Daddy was awesome and everyone loved him. He was a gentle, kind sole. I love him very much. Rest in Peace Daddy.
Mr. Bruce is missed at Dogwood Forest. We are thankful for the time that we got to share with him. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
I’ve known Bruce since I was 12 years old. He always treated me like I was part of his family. That’s the kind of man he was he was kind to everybody. I will miss him so much! I’m happy he isn’t in pain anymore but I’ll miss him being here. Thank you lord bringing him into my life! He will be missed by many!
