Miriam C. "Mimi" Burnette of Lilburn, GA passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2012 on her 80th birthday. She died in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving husband, family, friends, & neighbors. She was the loving wife of Bob M. Burnette, her sweetheart of 62 years. Their love for one another was an example of "true love" shown by their dedication, devotion, and care for each other since the day they met. She was the loving mother of four children: Shaeron & Bill Gray of Lawrenceville, GA; Darron & Kim Burnette of Statesboro, GA; Donna & Jeff Cole of Lawrenceville, GA; and Mike & Ren Burnette of Dacula, GA. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, & her wonderful caregiver for the past 3 years, Jeanette Nichols. Miriam was known by many for her sweet spirit, compassion, & hospitality, always welcoming anyone into her life. She will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, Bob and the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter, 1925 Century Blvd., NE, Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30345-3315 in memory of Miriam. The family will receive friends at the Burnette residence from 2:00-6:00 pm, Saturday, July 21, 2012.
