Mr. Carl David Braswell, age 73, of Stone Mountain, GA passed away April 14, 2020 at Emory University Hospital. He was born in DeKalb Co., son of the late Pullam Carl Braswell and Cinthia Elizabeth Hewell Braswell. David was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as owner of Braswell Auto Parts in Stone Mtn., owner of Flat Shoals Texaco Station in Conyers, Ga, and Esquire Insurance Agency in Lawrenceville, GA until he retired. He enjoyed riding his Harley, Chevelle Muscle Cars , and Drag racing his 55 Chevy in his early years; was a fan of the Atlanta Braves, Falcons, Alabama and Georgia Tech Football, and his favorite TV show was Gunsmoke.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Ramona Inez McWilliams of Molena, GA.

He is survived by his daughter Tambrylin Marie Preston of Lithonia, Grandson Perry Rolader of Lithonia, Granddaughter Bridgett Rolander of Lithonia, and several Great Grandchildren, Niece Shawna Gunn of Saint Simons Island, Nephews Matt McWilliams of Concord, GA, Mark McWilliams of Griffin, GA, Shane McWilliams of Jasper, GA. Friends and Classmates or Lithonia High School.

A private Graveside Service will be held at Bethel Baptist Cemetery on April 17,2020, and a Celebration of Life gathering to be determined at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 1147 Panola Rd. Stone Mountain, GA 30088
