Carol Diane Tekulve Powers passed away July 28th, 2024 at her Johns Creek, Georgia home having lived a full life. She was born August 30,1935 to Joseph and Marion Tekulve in Cincinnati Ohio. She grew up, for a time, in the Canal Zone with her siblings Sister Emanuel (Marilyn), Sylvia, Pat, Joe, Bob, Marion, and Jack.

She worked for Bell/AT&T as a switchboard operator for 15 years. She married Kenneth Powers in 1959 and they had 3 sons, Steven, Robert, and David.

She enjoyed shopping, decorating, traveling, listening to music, spending time with her family, and spoiling them rotten. She was a very loving and generous person who will be remembered for an infectious laugh with a good sense of humor.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Marion and Joseph, her stepmother Mercedes, her husband Kenneth Powers, her sister Sister Emmanuel, Robert Tekulve and Jack Tekulve. Carol is survived by her sons Steve, Bob (Josie Rivera), and David (Paula Beasley) Powers, grandchildren Michelle Powers (Cody) Green, Ashley Powers (Mac) Bennett, Dylan Powers, Marah Powers, Joshua Powers, Trevor Powers, and Peyton Powers, and 6 great grandchildren Zeke Green, Archer Green, Sydney Bennett, Daley Bennett, Cora Green and Austin Bennett.

A visitation will be held from 9:00AM – 11:00AM on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy. Lawrenceville GA 30046. A graveside service will be held the same day at 1:30PM at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr., Canton, GA 30114.
