Carol Jane Burks, age 87, of Roswell, GA, formerly of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Burks and her parents Frank and Katherine Moore. The memorial service will be at 3:00 pm on Friday, October 20, 2017. The service will be held in the Chapel at Roswell United Methodist Church 814 Mimosa Blvd. Roswell, GA 30075. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roswell United Methodist Church Altar Guild. Online condolences can be made at wagesandsons.com.

My dear mom was loved by many, especially by our family. I will miss taking her for her weekly hair appointment, getting her nails done and shopping for her clothes. Despite her dementia, it was still important to her to look her best. She had a sense of humor and appreciated anything anyone did for her. The greatest blessing for me was to have such a loving mother.
Carol was not only my “big sis”, but also she was like a 2nd Mother to me. She was a kind and loving person whose priority in life was to nurture and protect her family. Her passing has left a void in my heart, but I am comforted by knowing she no longer suffers in her broken earthly body and has transcended to be with The Lord. Carol will be dearly missed.
My family and I would like to express our sincerest condolences at this time to Ms. Burks’ Family. Please cherish all your wonderful memories of Carol. May you be encouraged by God’s words at John 5:28, 29 that you will see your dear loved one soon some day. Also, God will do away with mourning, sickness, and death forever. Revelation 21:3,4.
It’s always hard when losing a loved one but John 5:25 assures us that there is hope for the dead so soon you will be able to see them again so that brings us comfort knowing you have that hope your family is in my thoughts and prayers
