Carol Ward Rowan

carol rowan

Carol Ward Rowan of Conyers died peacefully May 19, from complications of a brain tumor. Carol received her RN from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing, and a BSN from Georgia State University. Carol retired from Dekalb County Public Health after 30 years of helping others, and then continued to volunteer at Mercy Heart Clinic until her health declined.
Carol’s love of her family was foremost in her life: Mike, her husband for over 49 years, and loving sons Mark (wife Tawana) and Stephen, kept her going. Serving God throughout her life, recently at Smyrna Campground and Presbyterian Church, gave her purpose. Carol was a Master Gardener, and always loved her plants.
A memorial service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held at a later date. If you wish to honor Carol, please make donations to: Campmeeting Fund, Smyrna Campground and Presbyterian Church, 2920 State Highway 212, Conyers, GA 30094. Carol would also be pleased if you donated blood, if you are able. Arrangements by Wages and Sons, Stone Mountain.
