Charles Richard Kornegay passed away on November 12, 2017. Charlie was born in Sayreton, Alabama on April 4, 1934. He is survived by his wife, Sadie Kornegay; daughter, Anne-Marie Pope;  grandson, Miles Anthony Pope; and brother, Gary Kornegay. A celebration of life will be held at Stone Mountain First United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Waldorf School of Atlanta or Stone Mountain First United Methodist Church. "We are grateful to those staff members of Northlake Gardens Assisted Living Facility, who gave compassionate and loving care to Charlie over the past few years."
