She was a long-time educator in Habersham County Georgia, CVTC in Eau Claire, WI and her final position as VP of Academic Affairs at Western Technical College in La Crosse, WI. Cherrie was born to Barbara and Phil Hull on November 12, 1960. Cherrie believed in empowering women, giving students the tools they needed to be successful and a strong leader. She challenged her faculty to be their best. She supported veterans and their causes as her husband was a Vietnam War veteran. Cherrie lived life to the fullest. A sweet soul that was taken way too early. "Goodbyes hurt the most when the story was not finished." ( Re-quoted by Cherrie's Assistant Kendra Thorson). Many staff and friends have asked about making a gift in memory of Cherrie. Because of this generous outpouring of support from both our campus community and our friends at Western Technical College, Cherrie’s friends and family have established the Cherrie Bergandi Memorial Scholarship Fund at Chippewa Valley Technical College Foundation, Inc. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Revelation 21:4
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

  2. Your sweet, genuine soul will be missed, dearly. Love to your family; I cannot imagine their worlds without you.

  3. Although we really just just recently had the opportunity to work together, I found Cherrie to be a warm and passionate individual that was full of life and excitement. I am so deeply saddened by her passing but am so very greatflu that I had the opportunity to know her…even for such a short time.

  4. Our hearts go out to you all. Cherrie was a beautiful person inside and out and taken much too soon in life. She accomplished so much and had so much more to do and give. Our love to you all and with our sincere and deepest sympathies.

  5. May peace be with all. Cherrie was an exceptional leader and friend. She inspired many, and it seems her time to pass is too soon. Her words of wisdom linger in my mind, as I envision her leaning forward to share her inspirational message. The smile that ended our conversation will remain engrained in my soul. I am thankful for having her as a part of my life. I hope that her extended family will find peace and comfort in the memories that were created with her. She was a special lady!

  6. When my father-in-law died and my bother passed away unexpectedly, I took comfort in an Irish prayer. Our family finds comfort and solace in this prayer.

May the road rise to meet you,
may the wind be ever at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and the rains fall soft upon your fields.
    And until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

May you find peace and strength during this difficult time and know that everyone who loved and respected Cherrie shares in your grief.

  7. Our deepest condolences to you Cousin Chaz on the loss of your sweet Cherrie and also to her family. We never had the opportunity to meet her but from what I’ve read, she was one special lady. May God Bless all of you. Love, Cousin Cris and family.

  8. My deepest sympathy to the family. Cherrie touched so many hearts and we will miss her. I hope you find comfort in all the people who cared about her and share in your grief

  9. It is with heavy hearts that we his adieu to our friend Cherrie. Ever since you came into our “Family” we have loved you, not just for your unconditional love for “Chuckie” but for your beautiful soul, inside and out.

You will be missed but with our cherished memories, you will continue to be with us.

Chuckie, you know our hearts are broken, as is yours; however, brother of our hearts, we are here for you, and will walk with you every single step of the way to help you through this.

    Our love and sympathies

  10. I will always remember Cherrie with warm thoughts and fond memories. Her physical presence will be missed, but so much of what she believed in and worked for remains with many of us. Cherrie was a pleasure to work with and for. My prayers go out to Chaz, Carrie, Phil, and your families.
