Christy Sevier King, age 74 of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. Mrs. King was born on August 17, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a 1962 graduate of Coffee High School in Florence, Alabama and attended Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. She retired after 11 years as a receptionist for the Mcgraw-Hill companies and after 10 years of service as a cashier for the Kroger company. Mrs. King was a member of Snellville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, James Rollins Sevier and Ilma LaBar Sevier; brother, John K.B. Sevier. Christy is survived by husband of 36 years Martin L. King of Lawrenceville; daughters, Margaret R. Whitfield of Atlanta, Elizabeth I. Whitfield of Roswell and Caroline B. King of Lawrenceville; sons, Richard F. Whitfield, Jr. (Elaine) of Decatur and Walter H. King of Lawrenceville; granddaughter, Desiree A. Jones of Roswell; brothers, James R. Sevier, Jr. (Nancy) of Franklin, TN and Frank L. Sevier (Debbie) of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family requests no flowers to be sent to the funeral, but suggests a donation to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway Lawrenceville, GA 30046. 770-277-4550.
