Clyde Enoch Swaney, born on May 14, 1944, in Pendleton, South Carolina, passed away on July 20, 2024. He was a strong, loving, giving, and God fearing man. He was a beloved husband of 41 years, father, brother and Papa.
He was a wise businessman and spent 40 years running his business, L & S Refrigeration. It started as a family business but he gained many employees along the way that also became family. In his early years he enjoyed Karate and riding horses. He loved him some Braves Baseball and Clemson Football, he never wanted to miss watching a game. He loved getting to spend time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.
In his later years you could always find him sitting on the screened in porch with his dog Roxy, watching the birds and breathing in the fresh air or at the kitchen table examining and researching coins and reading his Bible.
He was preceded in death by his parents, multiple siblings and grandson, Samuel Swaney.
He leaves behind by his loving wife, Joy Swaney, children, Dale Swaney (Kay Crowe), Angela Swaney-Bruce and Chris Swaney, grandchildren: Justin Swaney, Alayna Bell, Karry, David and Braxton, great- granddaughter, Amelia Bell. Siblings Melvin Swaney and Ruby Palmer, brother-in-law’s: Billy Smith, Johnny Smith (Anne) and Randy Smith, many nieces and nephews, along with his four-legged best friend, Roxy.
We will love and miss you forever, our Cowboy.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.

Uncle Clyde joined his Dad, Mom, brothers and sisters in Heaven last Saturday. I have so many great memories of Clyde and always was amazed with his business acumen throughout the years. I’ll always remember his 50th birthday at the Ranch where we rode horses and enjoyed delicious food. Clyde was a wonderful host and a southern gentleman. When I realized accomplishments in my life, Uncle Clyde was the first to call to congratulate me.
Joy, Angela, Dale & Chris , please know that each of you are in my and Vicki’s thoughts and prayers. Take comfort in knowing that if we follow Uncle Clyde’s lead, we will all be together in eternity. In Christ, Dano & Vicki Durham
Joy, I am sorry for your loss. Clyde was a generous and loving husband, father, and brother. We can take comfort in the fact he is now reunited with the family he loved and missed so much. My prayers now are for you, Dale, Angela, Chris and the rest of the family.

It was my pleasure to know Clyde. Our conversations were always interesting. No matter where they started, they always ended talking about Christ our Lord and Savior. Every time I have chocolate milk, I will always think of you.
