Dale Lynn Hutchings

Dale Lynn Hutchings entered the arms of his Heavenly Father on February 6, 2024, after an extended battle with dementia. He leaves behind his loving wife Linda, his beloved son Matthew, his beloved grandson Caden, his beloved brother and sister-in-law David and Tonya Hutchings, his sister Sherri Underwood, all his much-loved brothers- and sisters-in law and many dear nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Nona Lynn Beams, his brothers Michael and Randy Hutchings and his parents Wayne and Bernice Hutchings.

Dale was born in Hugo, OK on March 5, 1947, and spent his formative years at various Army posts in the US and Germany. He met his wife at Kansas State University, and they were happily married for 55 years. The majority of his working life was spent in the commercial wall-covering field and his leisure was filled with coaching his kids’ baseball, soccer and softball teams or just attending their activities. Much time was spent golfing with family and friends, bass fishing in the Florida lakes or anywhere he could put his boat, and he was always ready to pack his suitcase and go whenever he got a chance to travel. He was a die-hard Atlanta Braves fan even in the years when they lost more than won.

He will be remembered as he once was—a funny, kind and dear man who deeply loved his family and his friends. He will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1826 Killian Hill Road, Lilburn, GA on Saturday, February 10 at 12 o’clock preceded by visitation at 11.
