Daniel Kalima Sr., 57, passed away on 30 May 2022. Born 23 October 1964 in Lusaka, Zambia, Daniel was the sixth child of Paul Kalimakwenda Sacheka and Emelia Mwalumina.
Upon immigrating to the United States, he aimed to provide comfort for his family. This suave man worked for various organizations, always putting forth his best. Helping people in need was what defined Daniel’s daily life. Serving in the church as an ordained deacon back home was a source of pride. In line with his strong devotion to his faith, he always held a place in his heart for everybody in the community.
Daniel is survived by his wife, three children, four sisters, one brother, and a bevy of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to many. He would give you his last if needed. Having such a wonderful soul taken from us so abruptly is something his family members will forever mourn. While Daniel’s family and friends know that life will not be the same without him, we are incredibly grateful for the years we have had with him.

Daniel was a good friend to me for many years. I will miss his easy smile and his way of making you feel like you mattered. He was a wonderful man.
